Seedy savoury biscuits

Makes 12 biscuits


100g plain flour

60g assorted seeds – sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, linseed

Pinch of salt

50g butter or margarine

2 tbsp water


Preheat the oven to 180C/150C fan/Gas 4 and line a baking tray with baking parchment or greaseproof paper.

Mix the flour, seeds and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Melt the butter or margarine in a cup in the microwave and add to the mixture along with the water. Knead the mixture into a ball of smooth dough.

Put the dough onto a sheet of greaseproof paper, flatten and roll the dough to 1/2cm thickness using a rolling pin.

Cut into 5cm rounds and put on the baking tray.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown. Leave to cool.
